Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early from your lesson and text me before approaching my home. As I have pets in the home, I will advise when it is appropriate to enter, and will greet you personally at the door. This ensures we begin your lesson as relaxed as possible.

Should you arrive late, no extension will be granted and the missed time will not be made-up.

Please arrive prepared to learn at your lesson. This includes bringing a notebook, pencil, copies of all assigned material, and a positive attitude!

Improvement happens best and most quickly with regular practice. At a minimum, I recommend the following:

Young children and beginner students: 15-30 minutes 5x week

Teenagers and intermediate students: 20-50 minutes 5-6x week

Advanced students: 50-75 minutes 6-7x week

Lessons will include the study of assigned repertoire, music theory (note and rhythm reading) and some basic piano. This is to ensure you not only learn how to sing, but have a general understanding of reading music, and the ability to teach notes to yourself in the future.

I will assign repertoire based on your current level and learning objectives. Music will typically be classical, folk, or musical theatre repertoire.

If you are feeling unwell please notify me and we will do your lesson online instead.

Lessons cancelled by students with less than 24 hours notice will be charged and no make-up lesson will be offered.

Lessons cancelled with more than 24 hours notice, will be made up, to a maximum of 1 lesson per quarter (per 90 days). Additional cancelled lessons (more than 1 lesson per quarter), regardless of notice given, will not be made up and no refund will be offered.

Should I need to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be made up at the earliest mutually available time at no additional charge.

I will always due my best to ensure you are satisfied with your lessons. If for any reason the lessons are not meeting your expectations, please let me know! I am always grateful for feedback and will do my best to ensure your concerns are addressed.

Lessons can be cancelled at any time with a minimum of 4 weeks written notice. Lessons during the 4 weeks prior to your end date will continue as regularly scheduled.
